Fantasy Author
As long as I can remember, I’ve loved reading fantasy.
So when I decided to put fingers to keyboard and write, I settled on writing fantasy right away. C.S. Lewis, Lloyd Alexander, and Tolkien are near and dear to my writer’s heart, but I’ve developed a fondness for more contemporary authors, too – Brandon Sanderson, R.A. Salvatore, and Will Wight to name just a few!
I think fantasy’s primary strength is that the story can be whatever you want it to be. Fantasy gives the writer and the reader so many opportunities to take the story and run with it, and it’s in that freedom that we occupy a really special and unique place in the literary world.
