(Pretty picture, huh? I imagine the Warrens look something like this from above.)
Sick days are the worst! Seems to happen whenever we visit Michigan – one of us catches something and then it’s not long before everyone else has it too!
But, I suppose it gives me an opportunity.

First of all, I’d like to thank everyone for your support. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how many of you have purchased Door to Altharia – it means so very much to me that you do! I hope you enjoy it!
Please consider writing a review when you have finished reading.ย The average consumer reads up to 7 reviews before deciding on a purchase, meaning it’s one of the best opportunities to convince readers to give a new author a try. On the other hand, a lack of reviews and ratings can scare prospective readers away… so there’s that, too.
Amazon, Goodreads, Google Books – they’re all great places to post a review and help out an author. Thank you very much to those who already have!
Book II
On to the best part of this post.
I am pleased to announce the title of my current work-in-progress, Book II of Trials of the Hopebreather:
The Warrens of Lotann!
I learned a few lessons in writing Door to Altharia, one of which was “keep release details vague until you know for sure!”
So, I don’t have a release date yet. What I can tell you is that The Warrens of Lotann is about 60% complete. Of course, there will be edits, and beta-reading, and a cover release yet to come, but I’m confident I’ll be able to make good progress in what free time I find this fall. It certainly won’t be a 2-year wait, like it was for DtA! (Thank you again for your patience with that ๐ )
Of course, I will keep you posted and give you updates along the way.
I’m very excited about Book II of this series; I learned so much from writing DtA and I’m excited to put that learning to work! Look forward to faster pace, higher action, deeper character development, richer dialogue, and of course, more world-building. ๐
Thanks for reading,
Martyn
Charging on ahead! I like that, and you should. See it as a privilege to take many on journeys to places you have imagined. LF
Well, I have a story to get out there, and hopefully many more. Thanks!
