What a crazy year it has been! Too many ups and downs to mention, and most of them have proven to be significant obstacles to writing at the pace I was hoping for.
Oh, well. That’s the way it goes.
All the same, I’m thankful for the numerous opportunities that I’ve been given throughout the year. Hard times can be wonderful times for learning, especially about relationship dynamics and the surprisingly mundane sensations of being under immense and intimidating pressures.
I’ve also made significant progress in wrapping up Book III. Writing can be a safe haven and a quiet place to think awhile – when I happen upon the time, I’ve been relishing that part of the process.
And now for the update! Dennis Saputra, whose illustrations are the base for the covers of Books I & II, helped me out yet again with the cover for Spawn of the Betrayer.
So, without further ado, here it is – Trials of the Hopebreather: Book III – Spawn of the Betrayer!
What do you think? One thing that I find fascinating about the cover-making process is the vision of the artist. Dennis did a great job with capturing so many angles of the scene I described for him – a truly talented fellow! I always enjoy seeing what he comes up with.
I’ll have another update for you all when Spawn of the Betrayer is put up for pre-order. For now, Book III is all plotted out, and I’m in the process of going over the manuscript and beefing it up with fun stuff! I’d peg its arrival for some time in March, unless Christmas Break gets a little wild.
Speaking of which… time to get back to work.
Thanks for reading!
